Property exhibitions are the ideal way to kick off your search for a home in France, as they offer everything you need under one roof. Estate agents, lawyers, tax experts, and relocation experts – over from France for a face-to-face chat.
The French Property Exhibition in London 28-29 January was a great start. The majority of clients we spoke to on the stand and during our seminars all wanted to make a permanent move to France. About 20/25% wanted to buy a holiday home, but a high number of those wanted to buy with a permanent move further down the line. We had some good interest in buying a property off-plan (VEFA), as well as apartments in Paris, places in the Var, and Provence, but with a strong pull towards the favourite areas of the west and southwest: Poitou Charente, Charente Maritime, Dordogne, Brittany, Deux Sevres, and the Vienne.
If you couldn’t make the show, do come to Manchester in early March. Get Joanna Leggett’s best tips during her seminars at 11 am and 1:30 pm and plan your day, or days – at the exhibition. Discover early on how much you might be able to borrow if you want to get a mortgage, what tax issues in France you need to beware of, how you can access healthcare, the purchase process, and much more.
You can literally tick off all the things you need to know about buying – from foreign currency exchange to property management. We hope to see you there!
