Is the French property market making a recovery in August ?

At last it seems that everyone including our UK buyers have decided that prices are as low as they are going to go.
Normally, August is a quiet period for the French re-sale housing market with a large percentage of the population on holiday and not thinking about buying. But, this year we have had our busiest August for years with all our agents having to work through the holiday period due to the large number of enquiries and appointments.
Offers, although often below the asking price are flowing in, and more and more often they are being accepted by vendors, who are eager in turn to profit from the present economic climate, which will favour buyers while the supply remains strong.
The high end of the market seems to be holding up better than the rest.
We have not seen so much choice for good quality properties at the right money in years.
If you are able to it’s a great time to buy.
