The Creuse is the 23rd department of France and together with the Haute Vienne and the Corrèze it makes up the Limousin region. Gueret is the capital.
Located on the north-western border of the Massif Central la Creuse has 22 inhabitants to the square km and is the second most sparsely populated department in France. It is a region that is very green and is also known as the green heart of France and is still the safest place to live.
