Take a look at lovely Lyon

Lyon is a low-key gem. The second city of France in many ways, it offers many of the advantages of the French capital, yet none of the stress. Quality of life is a huge part of this Rhone city’s massive appeal. Gateway to the Alps, with the Beaujolais vineyards on its doorstep, Lyon is really at the centre of Europe, and well-located for the many multinational companies and their staff that are located there.
Renowned for its medical and pharmaceutical research, the city is also of course the ‘belly of France’, the birthplace of Michelin-star winning chef Paul Bocuse and a fabulous new museum to food and health at the La Cité de la Gastronomie in the city’s elegant former hospital. Property prices are lower than Paris but don’t expect a bargain in this wealthy city that is much in demand from locals and also expats.
