A spa town pit stop in a trek across the Pyrénées

In part three of our mini-series about France’s famous hiking trails, we are following the GR10 which goes from the Atlantic to the Med along the Spanish border. We decide to break off from the wild Ariege to dwell on in a particularly popular spot, around the historic spa town of Bagnères de Luchon. Here’s what we found…

Ten minutes from the Spanish border, this is charmingly renovated six-bedroom property that still offers bags of potential. Set on three levels, with mountain views and ski lifts half an hour away.

Beautifully spacious and elegant two-bedroom apartment in a stunning marble building with many original features in a traditional Pyrenean village. Has everything on hand and at a great price.

Spacious and contemporary apartment in one of the nicest, sought-after apartment buildings in Bagneres de Luchon. Close to the thermal baths so would make a great short-term rental property.

This is another great potential rental! Super-spacious two-bedroom apartment with lift, parking and terrace on the main street of Bagneres de Luchon, that attracts spa visitors all year round.

The rustic option… beautifully renovated and spacious four-bedroom barn in a small mountain village close to Bagneres de Luchon. We adore the stylish renovation utilising the traditional stone work and wood beams.
