September: old cars galore and thousands of property hunters too
What a busy month September always is! We had not one but three great events.
It kicked off with Périgueux Vintage Days on the 2nd and 3rd which regularly attracts over 80,000 people across the weekend. This is the second year we have attended, and it didn’t disappoint with lots of vintage vehicles and drivers dressed alike!

Next up was the Circuit des Remparts on 15-17th September. It was a big success; the rally took drivers through the French countryside, on a mystery course only revealed at the start. The racing on Sunday through the Angoulême Remparts was watched by 11,000 people and celebrated the centenary of MG. Leggett had a stand there, where our agents met with lots of clients looking to buy and sell. The Bugatti race was amazing!

Then it was onto Birmingham for the annual autumn A Place in the Sun show on 22-24th September. Across three days over 5,000 people attended the NEC, with lots of serious enquiries and packed seminar sessions in the French Village. Quite a few people were interested in buying campsites or fishing lakes to create a business. Most people were looking to make a permanent move to France, albeit some of them via a holiday home initially. We look forward to seeing some of these inquiries reach fruition with a successful property purchase.

The next event we are participating in will be the Castle Day exhibition in Baarn (Holland) on the 25th of November. Please click here for tickets!
