Leggett Agents

Agent of the month – Vivien Lannie in Brittany

What does a typical day as a Leggett agent entail?
Normally wake up between 6 and 6.30 am, seldom later unfortunately! Put the kettle on and make that all important mug of tea to start the day. Then settle to check my emails and see what needs immediate attention. Work out my plan of action for the day, viewings, vendors, notaires etc. Then onto my second cuppa and that keeps me going until mid morning. Whilst making the second cuppa check that all the beasties are where they should be, after all they are the main reason we came to France in the first place!
What is your favourite place in the area you cover? What do you like most about your area?
We love it here in the south of Finistere and there is some stunning scenery and history with architectural cities like Quimper and the ancient towns like Concarneau with its ‘close ville’ jutting out into the sea! The coast and countryside alike are interesting and varied. I love the sea with all its power and energy, it really does have the ability to revitalize a being!

Beautifully presented stone house with 3/4 bed main house, partially converted 2 bed gite and outbuildings. – €171,200

What were you doing before you joined Leggett?
I was working in Quimper market 6 days a week during the summer time selling my hand made jewellery and a selection of Scarves, got to meet some fabulous people but seldom enjoyed the sunshine as I was always working. Back in the UK I worked as a ‘Show house Frilly’, loved every minute of it working for developers out on site seeing the whole process from green field to lived in homes, exciting and interesting. I have always had a passion for property even as a teenager I would buy the local paper on property day so my interest spans many years!
Ville Close – Concarneau

What is the most unusual house you mandated?
The most interesting property that I have taken on is a stunning little Penty with an ancient Presbytery to renovate, so much history! Very old, very beautiful and so many possibilities! There is a video with more photos at the bottom of the listing page, should you want to see more.

What do you like best about your job?
I love that I get to see so many different properties and to meet such lovely people and help them to make the changes that they want in their lives. Fantastic!
