Brits still the biggest buyers in France

According to the latest figures the British remain the biggest portion of non-resident buyers (27%) in France.
According to the BNP Paribas International figures, published this summer, foreign buyers – resident and non-resident – totalled 65,000 in France in 2018.
Whilst Brits contributed 27 per cent, they are followed by the Belgians (19%), then the Germans, the Swiss, the Italians and the Dutch. The Scandinavians make the largest transactions, on average half a million euros per purchase. But where do foreigners buy? The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) region remains at the top of the ranking with 20% of transactions made by non-resident foreigners in France, followed by Occitane (15%), Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Auvergne-Rhone Alps. But it is the Île-de-France which recorded the highest growth (+ 15%).
