Peak performers? Top three French ski resorts: revealed
Ski resorts have had a busy summer as we all want some fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery to escape to. It’s made more people consider buying a home in the Alps for winter and summer…But which ones are most in demand? According to the French online classifieds site, Gens de Confiance, the most searched-for resort is Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains in the Evasion-Mont Blanc ski area handy for Geneva. This resort looks set to be the biggest selling town in France for Leggett for the 6th year in a row – and the French newspaper Le Figaro called the ski town “chic but no-fuss”. It’s a charming, historic spa town that attracts buyers for holiday homes and year-round living. The relaxed and family-friendly La Clusaz – also popular for mountain biking – is next in line. Number three is the master-planned group of resorts, Les Arcs in the Savoie. It’s got great green credentials as well as being superbly family-friendly. Numbers four and five are Combloux (Megeve’s laid-back little sister) and Hauteluce, respectively. The latter is a tiny resort linked to Les Contamines in the Savoie you may not have heard of.
