No need to wait any longer for winter le ski!
After ‘missing out’ on last year’s ski season there are many of us who cannot get on the piste soon enough! There’s such pent-up demand and it’s shaping up to be a great winter. If you can’t wait until next month, do not worry – some are already open!
Tignes is always first out of the blocks and you’ve been able to head up to the Grande Motte glacier since October 16. The whole Tignes area opened last week – on 27th – and within it, there’s the family-favourite resort of Sainte Foy, where you can buy a two-bedroom apartment close to the ski lift for only €275k!
A week after Tignes, Les 2 Alpes opened up too – and this is a resort to invest in with the planned link to Alpe d’Huez. Prices are still quite competitive and you can buy a charming four-bedroom chalet in the nearby Southern Alps village of Vaujany pictured here…
Last weekend, the much-awaited opening of “VT” or Val Thorens happened with a big fanfare, including events, film showings, and quizzes – but also the chance for skiers to road-test equipment on the highest pistes in Europe. Check out this super-cute ski pad for less than €200k in the heart of the resort.
If you really want to wait until you can ski in your favourite resort, then a few more highlights: on 20th November openings include Megeve, Combloux, Chatel and Morzine; on 27th November weekend it’s Val d’Isere and Les Arcs; and on 4th December – Meribel and Courchevel.
