Live it up in Limoux
The Languedoc’s Limoux produces some rather lovely sparkling white wine that was a forerunner to Champagne (thanks to the Benedictine monk Dom Perignon if popular myth is to be believed) The town’s carnival has been running since the Middle Ages. Confetti, masks and effigies feature in Mardi Gras celebrations during early March.
