Angouleme, city of art
The Festival International de la Band Dessinée took place in Angouleme this weekend bringing culture and a host of international artists to Wes Anderson’s new favorite town.
Angouleme is really the place to be at the moment. The Band Dessinee festival which happens every year continues to bring artists from across the world to be part of this huge cultural event. Couple this with the A list attention the town is receiving from the likes of Hollywood film director Wes Anderson – who switched on the city’s Christmas lights – and you have an artistic hub which is buzzing with life. Property prices remain very affordable in this gem of a town in the south west of France.
This is a great little three-bedroom house that has been reduced in price by a hefty sum. Now only a little over £100k, it really is worth a peek.
Located in the historic ramparts district of Angouleme, this is a four-bedroom townhouse oozing with character, and enjoy spectacular views. Great as a family home or investment.
This five-bedroom house from the 1960s is well presented and ideally positioned for schools and city centre. With a large garden, it is perfect for a family.
Perfect for foodies (it’s two minutes’ walk to the market) or for a spot of fixing up – it’s full of charming original features but could do with a quick refresh – this is a lovely townhouse.
