As everyone knows, one very festive drink French people love to have on any special occasion is Champagne – and Christmas is just the same! If you are having guests for the Christmas meal and want to treat them to a Champagne cocktail for the apéro, here is the delicious recipe of the “Soupe de Champagne”.
Ingredients (for 8 guests)
1 bottle of Champagne
1 ladleful of Cointreau
1 ladleful of sugarcane syrup
½ ladleful of lemon juice
- Stir together in a large salad bowl or carafe the Cointreau, the sugarcane syrup and the lemon juice.
- Delicately add the cool champagne to the mix.
- Serve in flutes or champagne glasses
